According to statistics, Indian crude steel output increased by 4% year on year to around 9.3 million tons in June 2019, and the global steel output grew by nearly 5% to approximately 159 million tons in the same month.
In June of 2018, the total crude steel output in India was around 8.98 million tons, and the global steel output was around 152 million tons.
The World Steel Association (worldsteel) made the report based on 64 main steel-producing countries data, which represented around 85% of the global steel production.
Chinese crude steel production for June 2019 went up 10% year on year to around 87.5 million tons. In the EU, Germany’s output was around 3.4 million tons, Italy was 2.1 million tons, and France had 1.3 million tons in June 2019.
